Travel reviews for Samui Mountain Village
Date of stay: Aug 25, 2011
Accommodation and facilities:
After travelling for a couple of weeks we wanted relaxation
at Samui Mountain village you get it
Bill the owner was very helpful even lending us a mobile for our stay and suggesting places to go although we didnt want to do very much
The thai boxing in Lamai on saturday night was really exciting
we stayed 9 days and didnt rent transport because it would have sat outside most of the time
It is a bit of a climb from the main road but managable
The villa was magnificent and the pool to die for
for 2 people you can cook quite adequate meals if you want to
A good Hotel/Spa next door we ate at was good food.

Lonely Planet recommended us in their Thailands Islands and Beaches
Samui Mountain Village is perched on a tropical hillside above Coral Cove on Koh Samuis east coast.
We are halfway between the two most popular beaches, Chaweng and Lamai.
Our large property (4000 m2) has six individual villas, each with its own personality.
Way up the mountain from Coral Cove, this place has the undisputed best views in Samui and boasts the largest verandas
from which to enjoy them. The bungalows have a kitchen and all the necessary mod-cons to make long-term stays comfortable.
The friendly owners also offer discounted weekly rates and the fridge comes stocked with fruit, milk, juice and bread daily!
We are 500 meters from the Ring Road up a steep hill above Coral Cove. Neighboring properties are Eden Rock, and Sandalwood. Sandalwood has an excellent restaurant.
We have six individual studio villas. They range in size from 40 m2 to 75 m2. There is a large sala poolside. Each villa has a large balcony or deck, sitting area, kitchen and bathroom.
The kitchens are all equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, toaster, blender, refrigerator, cook top and all utensils.
